Marlyn Narkis Assis joined our firm in 2006 upon receiving her law license, becoming a partner in 2012. During her practice at MDU Legal, she has gained valuable experience as a corporate attorney, specializing in corporate law, commercial law, real estate, trademarks, immigration, health law, and public procurement.

Her practice focuses on providing legal advice and support to local and international companies at all stages of their business, including the preparation of corporate documents and other matters related to the daily legal needs of businesses, such as negotiating contracts, obtaining permits, licenses, or other administrative proceedings before Panamanian authorities. She assists clients with the legal aspects of real estate transactions and development. She also serves as counsel to a banking institution, overseeing its due diligence procedures.

She has represented our clients in legal matters related to the public procurement sector, including the preparation of public bids, legal assistance during the bidding process, filing claims and defending client interests before the relevant authorities, legal support in the review and negotiation of government contracts, advice on the drafting and review of construction contracts, and legal support during project development, including relationships with contractors and public institutions. Marlyn is currently Treasurer of the Latin American Chapter of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation ("IWIRC"), and has been recognized as a leading lawyer in the area of transactional law by Chambers Global and Chambers Latin America.
